CareerCenterJobs.org was created as a cooperative effort among select Oregon liberal arts colleges and universities interested in working together with employers to facilitate matches between liberal arts students and graduates and employment opportunities. The site is available to all parties free of charge, with a minimum of inputs required from users, as an alternative to commercial job posting sites that invariably pry for more information than they offer. Data input by users of Careercenterjobs.org is not shared or sold, and is used only by site administrators for improving the service. Colleges and employers wishing to use the site to post positions are encouraged to do so by following the instructions.
Once postings are entered, they wait in a queue to be approved by the site administrators. Turnaround time is normally no more than a day. Upon approval/disapproval, employers are notified of the status of their job via an automated e-mail message. Jobs and internships are approved on the basis of their suitability for students and graduates of liberal arts colleges. Most specialized positions requiring advanced degrees or non-liberal arts degrees will not be posted due to the high volume of such postings, the availability of other, more specialized posting sites for such opportunities, and the focus of this site on the particular needs and interests of students and graduates of liberal arts colleges.
Public school teaching positions requiring state certification, clinical positions requiring professional degrees, engineering positions, and other such examples of positions requiring more than a bachelors degree are generally not approved.
Thank you for your interest, and best of luck in your search.
